The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) announced multiple temporary research posts in two of its institutes. At the CSIR‑National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR‑NIIST) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, a walk‑in interview on 30 June 2026 will fill project‑associate positions in microbiology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, environmental biotechnology and related fields. Stipends are ₹31,000 or ₹25,000 per month plus HRA, with an age limit of 35 years and relaxation for eligible candidates.

Separately, CSIRIndian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR‑IIIM) in Jammu seeks project‑associate candidates for its Phytopharmaceutical Mission Phase‑III. Openings include two chemistry‑oriented positions and one computer‑science role, each offering the same stipend structure and a 35‑year age ceiling. Appointments are contract‑based until 31 March 2027 and subject to performance review. Both recruitments require relevant MSc/BE qualifications and a selection interview.

These announcements provide early‑career scientists and engineers in India with short‑term research opportunities under CSIR‑funded projects.
