CSIR launches recruitment for 100 Assistant Section Officer posts in India

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) issued an official notification on 25 June to recruit 100 Assistant Section Officer (ASO) candidates. The vacancies comprise 61 General, 18 Finance‑and‑Accounts, and 21 Store‑and‑Purchase positions.

Online applications opened on 23 June at 10:00 IST and close on 13 July. Candidates must be ≤ 33 years old, with age relaxations for reserved categories. The application fee is ₹500 for Unreserved, OBC‑NC, and EWS candidates; women, SC/ST/PWD candidates and ex‑servicemen are exempt.

Selection will follow screening of applications, shortlisting based on CSIR CSE‑2024 scores, Computer Proficiency Test, main examination, personality test, document verification and a final merit list. Successful recruits will receive a salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 per month.
