CSJT authorizes 300 positions for Brazil's Regional Labor Courts

The Superior Council of Labor Justice (CSJT) has authorized the filling of 300 positions across Regional Labor Courts (TRTs) throughout Brazil. The announcement was made by Minister Vieira de Mello Filho, president of both the Superior Labor Court (TST) and the CSJT, during a meeting of the College of Presidents and Corregidors of the Regional Labor Courts (Coleprecor).

While the authorization is official, the specific distribution of these 300 positions among the various regional courts has not yet been determined. The CSJT stated that the allocation will be based on technical criteria, specifically focusing on the judicial workload of each regional branch to reduce administrative discretion and increase technical participation in decision-making.

These positions were already included in Annex V of the 2026 Budget Law (LOA 2026). The measure is expected to facilitate the appointment of candidates who have already passed existing public service examinations and are within their validity periods, rather than necessarily triggering the immediate opening of new selection processes.
