Nesebar and CSKA Sofia draw 0-0 in Bulgarian Cup

CSKA Sofia and Nesebar played to a 0-0 draw in their Bulgarian Cup 1/16-final match. The encounter, held at Nesebar's home ground, marked the first time the two sides have met in this tournament since 2017.

CSKA, the current cup holders, entered the match following a recent performance in the Conference League against Monaco. Despite early pressure from the visitors, including attempts by Mohamed Brahimi and James Eto’o, the match remained scoreless. Nesebar, currently competing in the Second League, managed to hold the top-tier side to a stalemate.

Prior to the match, Nesebar captain Plamen Dimov noted the high quality of the CSKA squad, specifically praising forward Joel Swartz for his technical ability and physical presence.
