CSKA beats Brinje 2-1 in Austrian friendly as Joël Czarz scores on debut

Bulgarian club CSKA won its first summer friendly 2‑1 against Slovenian side Brinje Grosuplje in Salzburg, Austria. New signing Joël Czarz, who joined from Lokomotiv Plovdiv two days earlier, opened the scoring in the 80th minute after a corner, before Yoanis Pitass added the winner in added time.

Coach Hristo Yanev praised the team's effort despite heavy weather, noting that the result was secondary to the preparation ahead of European matches. He highlighted the integration of Czarz and other recent acquisitions, and warned that the upcoming schedule will be demanding.
