CSKA Sofia coach Hristo Yanev urges tactical overhaul after 0‑4 defeat

CSKA Sofia head coach Hristo Yanev spoke after the team’s 0‑4 loss to Ukrainian side Polissya in a friendly match held in Austria. He said the approach was “fundamentally different” and that the squad had played “as if it were a control, while the opponents fought as a battle.” Yanev called for an immediate change in mindset and tactics, stating, “We must change our approach and way of thinking as quickly as possible.”

He criticised individual errors and lack of intensity, but praised the effort of the young players and the recent acquisition of Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi, expressing confidence that the new signing will help the team both on the field and off it.
