CSKA Sofia departs for Austria pre‑season training camp

CSKA Sofia left for a two‑week pre‑season camp in Austria. Head coach Hristo Yanev said the team will concentrate on physical conditioning, player selection and preparing for the upcoming European competition draw. He praised the camp facilities, noted the limited time available and stressed the need for intensive fitness work.

Yanev added that the final squad will depend on transfer activity, stating, “We can only guess whether we will return with a larger group of players. You will see when things happen.” The initial roster includes 26 players, with additional sign‑ins such as Joannis Pitas, Fyodor Lapouhov, Max Ebong, Isaac Solei and James Eto’o expected to join later. The coach also highlighted the opportunity for young players to showcase their abilities, saying, “This is their chance to see everything we do and prove their potential.”
