CSKA Sofia enters advanced talks for permanent head coach
CSKA Sofia is currently in advanced negotiations to appoint a permanent head coach following the departure of Hristo Yanev. Sporting Director Valentin Iliev confirmed that discussions are underway with a shortlist of candidates and expressed hope that Yanev will remain involved with the club in a different capacity.
Reports suggest the club is prioritizing a foreign specialist with a strong professional track record, rather than a coach currently active in the efbet Liga.
Interim manager Daniel Morales, who recently led the team to a 4-1 victory over Arda, stated he is focused on the team's immediate goals and is open to taking the permanent position if the management deems him ready. Morales emphasized his intention to maintain the team's current playing style and focus on player recovery during this transition period.
