CSKA Sofia fans demand coach Hristo Yanev's dismissal

CSKA Sofia supporters, organized as Sector G, have called for the dismissal of head coach Hristo Yanev following the team's exit from the Europa League. The club was eliminated after losing both playoff matches against OFI Crete with an aggregate score of 0-5.

In a statement, Sector G expressed dissatisfaction with the team's recent performance, describing it as “idealless and soulless” and noting that the players' conduct did not reflect the club's identity. The fans urged club leadership to take immediate responsibility and implement changes, stating that “CSKA is everything else, but not a school.”

CSKA Sports Director Valentin Iliev commented on the team's recent 3-1 victory over Cherno More, noting that while the squad possesses individual talent, the team's behavior and mentality must remain at a championship level. He also addressed the upcoming Conference League draw and the possibility of returning to the Bulgarian Army Stadium for European matches.
