CSKA Sofia secures 2-2 draw against Nordsælland in Conference League

CSKA Sofia earned their first point in the UEFA Conference League main phase following a 2-2 draw against Danish side Nordsælland. Leandro Godoy was the standout performer for the Bulgarian club, scoring both goals. Godoy opened the scoring in the 8th minute after capitalizing on a turnover by Stefano Sensi.

Nordsælland staged a comeback in the second half with Ibrahim Adel scoring twice to turn the match around. However, Godoy secured the draw with a second goal in the final minutes of stoppage time. The match was also marked by a red card for Nordsælland captain Justin Jensen in the 76th minute.

CSKA head coach Marcus Gisdol noted that while the first 20 minutes were strong, the team struggled with the gap between lines in the second half. The result provides CSKA with a single point after their initial loss to Monaco, keeping their hopes alive for the knockout stages. Their next fixture is against Panathinaikos on November 5.
