CSKA Sofia restructures leadership, appoints Valentin Iliev as sports director

CSKA Sofia announced a restructuring of its sports‑technical department. Valentin Iliev has been appointed sports director, taking over from Boyko Velichkov. Velichkov will now lead the reform and development of the club’s academy, while his former assistant Lyuben Lyubenov will coach the club’s second team. The club highlighted the aim of modernising the academy to become one of the leading youth schools in Bulgaria and the region, providing modern facilities and professional coaching for young talents.
