CSKA Sofia secures draw against Nordsjælland in Conference League

CSKA Sofia earned their first point in the main phase of the Conference League following a 2-2 draw against Nordsjælland in Denmark. Despite a dominant start where the team appeared to be in control, defensive errors allowed the hosts to equalize in the 90th minute.

Former player Georgi Iliev, known as ‘Maikula’, commented on the performance, noting that while the team played at a high level, elementary defensive mistakes remain a critical issue. He emphasized that the club needs to establish order and discipline through its technical leadership, including the coach, sporting director, and captain, to address long-standing issues in the defense.
