CSKA Sofia seeks 2.7 million euros for midfielder James Etoo

CSKA Sofia has set a transfer valuation of approximately 2.7 million euros for Cameroonian midfielder James Etoo. Interest in the player has intensified following CSKA's recent Europa League qualification, where they eliminated Azerbaijani club Qarabağ FK in a penalty shootout after two scoreless draws.

Representatives from Qarabağ FK are expected to attend CSKA's match against OFI Crete in Sofia to scout Etoo in person. In addition to the Azerbaijani side, two unnamed Turkish clubs are also reportedly monitoring the midfielder. Etoo, who joined CSKA from Botev Plovdiv in 2024, is currently under contract with the club until June 2029.

Additionally, CSKA goalkeeper Fyodor Lapukhov is drawing attention from several international clubs, including Lokomotiv Moscow, Spartak Moscow, and Mainz 05, following his significant contributions to the team's recent defensive performances.
