CSKA Sofia seeks new manager with Bjelica and Corberan as candidates

CSKA Sofia is actively searching for a new head coach following the resignation of Hristo Yanev. While Daniel Morales has been leading training sessions on a temporary basis, the club's management is evaluating several high-profile candidates to avoid previous mistakes made with foreign appointments.

Two prominent names have been proposed for the position: Nenad Bjelica and Carlos Corberan. Bjelica, 55, has an extensive career managing clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb, Austria Vienna, Spezia, and Union Berlin, though there are concerns regarding his recent period of inactivity.

Carlos Corberan, 43, is considered a highly attractive option. The Spanish specialist was recently involved with Valencia, where he worked to stabilize the team following a difficult period. The club aims to find a leader capable of addressing the team's inconsistent performance, characterized by a strong attack but a vulnerable defense.
