CSKA Sofia to face FC Nordsælland without top scorer Joel Schwarz

CSKA Sofia is preparing for their upcoming UEFA Conference League match against Denmark's FC Nordsælland, scheduled for Thursday, October 22, at Right to Dream Park in Farum.

The club will face a significant setback as top scorer Joel Schwarz is ruled out of the match due to a thigh muscle injury sustained during a recent domestic cup game. Schwarz has scored 12 goals across all competitions this season. However, other players, including James Etoo and Barry Koter, are expected to be available for manager Marcus Gisdol.

Former CSKA captain Nikolay Bodurov noted that the team will face a physically demanding challenge in Denmark, highlighting that Nordsælland plays a direct and highly dynamic style of football that often tests the physical resilience of Bulgarian clubs.
