CSKA Sofia to reopen reconstructed Bulgarian Army Stadium

CSKA Sofia has announced that the club will return to its fully reconstructed Bulgarian Army Stadium on October 31, 2026. The stadium's official reopening will feature a First League match against Slavia Sofia, scheduled for 19:30.

This event marks the club's first official match at the venue since December 10, 2023. To ensure readiness, UEFA representatives are expected to inspect the facility during the Slavia match to evaluate whether it meets international standards for hosting European club competitions. A successful inspection could allow CSKA to host upcoming Conference League matches, such as the fixture against Trabzonspor, at their home ground.

Ticket sales will be released in phases, starting October 27 for season ticket holders, followed by fan card holders on October 28. The club noted that final technical tests and finishing works on stadium systems will continue even after the opening match.
