CSKA Sofia wins Bulgarian Super Cup amid disciplinary controversy

CSKA Sofia secured the Bulgarian Super Cup with a 4-2 comeback victory against Levski Sofia. The match, which saw Levski lead early through Serginho, ended with goals from Joel Schwarz, Stefano Sensi, and an own goal by Aldair to seal the win for CSKA.

CSKA management issued a strong statement condemning what they described as a “shocking double standard” by the Bulgarian Football Union's Disciplinary Commission. CSKA midfielder Max Ebong received a three-match ban following a confrontation, while Levski captain Kristiyan Dimitrov received only a one-match suspension for a similar incident. The club has expressed intent to appeal, citing systemic unfairness and a lack of justice in officiating.
