CSKA Sofia's new stadium exceeds BFU licensing criteria

Representatives from the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) Licensing Commission have inspected the new Bulgarian Army Stadium, the new home of CSKA Sofia. Georgi Lalev, the BFU licensing manager, stated that the facility exceeds all required criteria and praised the quality of the equipment.

Despite the positive inspection, a formal license has not yet been issued because CSKA Sofia has not yet submitted the necessary documentation to the commission. Consequently, there is no confirmed date for the stadium's official opening or the first match. While there are reports of a potential inaugural match against Slavia, Lalev noted that the club has not officially notified the BFU of the schedule, leaving the timing of the first official match to the club's discretion.
