CSL and Coles Group report positive market performance in Australia
CSL Ltd shares have seen a significant recovery, rising approximately 88% from a multi-year low of $92.24 reached in June. As of Monday trading, shares were priced at $173.38. This rebound follows a period of volatility caused by the planned spin-off of its Seqirus influenza vaccine business, lower-than-expected plasma demand, and the unexpected departure of former CEO Paul McKenzie.
Separately, Coles Group Ltd has reported a 12.65% increase in its share price since the beginning of the year. The Australian retailer, which holds roughly 28% of the grocery market, reported an annual revenue of $43,684m and a profit of $1,118m for the last financial year. The company maintains a gross margin of 26.1%.
