CSLC concludes second ordinary session in Brazzaville
The Superior Council for Freedom of Communication (CSLC) concluded its second ordinary session in Brazzaville on September 1, 2026. Led by President Médard Milandou Nsonga, the council adopted several key documents, including the 2025 financial and administrative reports.
A primary focus of the session was the implementation of recommendations from the 2018 Congolese Press Conference. The CSLC committed to working closely with the Ministry of Communication and Media to ensure these recommendations are enacted.
Additionally, the council announced a census of both traditional audiovisual media and online media outlets to create an updated and reliable registry. This identification process is intended to lead to a campaign for issuing professional and honorary journalist identity cards, particularly ahead of upcoming legislative and local elections.
