CSM Corona Brașov won the Romanian Ice Hockey Supercup after defeating ACSH Gheorgheni with a 5-4 victory at the Olympic Rink in Brașov. This win marks the second consecutive Supercup title for Corona in the three editions contested between these two specific teams.
The match featured several lead changes. ACSH Gheorgheni, the previous national champion, held leads of 2-1 and 3-2 during the game. However, Corona Brașov responded with goals from Mathias Haaranen, Radim Valchar, Tamas Reszegh, and Jeremy Douglas Welsh. Welsh scored the decisive winning goal in the final minute of the match.
Corona Brașov head coach Hunor Strenk credited key players for stepping up during critical moments, despite playing with a limited roster. While celebrating the trophy, Strenk noted that the team still has significant work to do to reach their desired level.
