CSM Târgu Jiu signs defender Răzvan Lazăr

CSM Târgu Jiu has strengthened its defense by signing 24-year-old central defender Răzvan Lazăr. The 1.91-meter player joins the club on a two-season contract, arriving from Minaur Baia Mare.

Lazăr’s move aims to address a defensive gap left by the departure of Flavius Dumbrăvean to CS Dinamo București. The defender brings experience from both Liga 2 and Liga 3, having previously played for clubs including Olimpia Satu Mare, Sănătatea Cluj, Șomcuta Mare, and CS Afumați.

Lazăr, who began his career in the Minaur Baia Mare youth system, most recently helped his former club compete for promotion to Liga 2. He has already integrated into the training program under coach Mario Găman ahead of the team's upcoming Liga 3 season opener against Oltul Curtișoara.
