CSW loses first official cup match to Montfoort S.V. ’19

CSW suffered a defeat in their first official cup match of the season against Montfoort S.V. ’19. Despite an attacking first half and creating several scoring opportunities, CSW failed to convert their chances.

Montfoort took the lead in the 18th minute following a corner kick. Although CSW maintained pressure, their play became increasingly forced and individualistic in the second half. Montfoort eventually secured a 0-2 victory in the 88th minute after CSW left their defensive positions in a final attempt to equalize.

While new player Raoul van Wijk was noted as a standout performer for CSW, the team will look to improve their results in the upcoming 1e klasse season, starting with a match against Argon.
