On the morning of August 4, a fire erupted in apartment #06 on the 12th floor of the CT2A Quang Trung residential building in Thanh Vinh ward, Nghe An province, Vietnam. Black smoke forced many residents to evacuate the building.

The provincial Police Fire and Rescue Department (PCCC&CNCH) dispatched two fire trucks, a ladder vehicle and about 20 firefighters, who arrived promptly and brought the blaze under control by around 11 a.m. The fire did not spread to adjacent units and no injuries were reported.
