CTBC Brothers defeat Fubon Guardians to approach CPBL title

The CTBC Brothers secured a 3-0 victory against the Fubon Guardians at Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium, moving closer to clinching the second-half championship. Starting pitcher Felix delivered six scoreless innings, followed by a strategic relief appearance from Knight, who pitched effectively despite having only two days of rest. Manager Keiichi Hirano noted that the decision to use Knight was planned well in advance to strengthen the bullpen.

The victory comes amid high anticipation from fans, many of whom arrived early to witness a potential championship celebration involving the traditional throwing of yellow streamers. With the magic number at M2, the Brothers' title hopes also depend on the results of the Rakuten Monkeys. Manager Hirano expressed gratitude to the large crowd of supporters and emphasized the importance of managing player health during the intense final stages of the season.
