CTBC Brothers defeat Wei Chuan Dragons 4-3 behind Paulá's seven scoreless innings

The CTBC Brothers defeated the first-place Wei Chuan Dragons 4-3 at the Taipei Dome, securing their second consecutive victory. The win narrows the gap between the two teams to just one game in the second-half standings.

Starting pitcher Eduardo Paulá delivered a dominant performance, pitching seven scoreless innings and allowing only three hits while striking out four without issuing any walks. Paulá was named the game's MVP. Despite his success, he was pulled from the game after the seventh inning due to minor cramping in his right thigh, though he stated he would have preferred to pitch all nine innings if not for the discomfort.

The Brothers built an early lead in the first inning through hits and a sacrifice fly. While the Dragons managed to close the gap to a one-run margin in the eighth and ninth innings, the Brothers' bullpen held on to secure the win. Paulá's victory marks his seventh win of the season and 78th of his career.
