Uni-President Lions force Game 4 in CPBL postseason series

The CPBL Postseason Championship Series between the Uni-President Lions and the CTBC Brothers has reached a decisive Game 4 after the Lions secured a 4-2 victory in Game 3. The win allows the Lions to extend the series, preventing the Brothers from advancing to the Taiwan Series.

In Game 3, the Lions' bullpen played a crucial role. After starter Lin Chih-en exited early, Jackson Stephens pitched 3.1 scoreless innings to stabilize the game. The Lions' offense was fueled by timely hits from Chiu Chih-cheng and Lin Chia-wei. The Brothers struggled with efficiency, recording multiple double plays that halted their momentum.

Earlier in the series, the Brothers took a 2-0 lead, highlighted by a dominant first inning in Game 1. However, the Lions responded in Game 2 with a 1-0 win led by Jordan Balazovic, who pitched six scoreless innings. The series has been characterized by tight pitching and defensive plays, with both teams fighting to maintain or break scoring streaks.
