CTBC Brothers manager Wei-Yi Ping cites strength gap after losses to Rakuten Monkeys

CTBC Brothers manager Wei-Yi Ping addressed the team's recent struggles following two consecutive losses to the Rakuten Monkeys in a critical series. The team suffered a 5-6 comeback loss followed by a 0-6 shutout.

Addressing the performance, Ping stated that the results reflect a “gap in strength” and emphasized that the team must face this reality. He noted that starting pitcher Zheng Hao-jun received technical feedback following a difficult sixth inning where he surrendered multiple hits and walks.

Ping encouraged his players to use the frustration of these defeats as motivation to improve, noting that professional athletes should feel the sting of loss to drive further effort and growth.
