Global reports of road accidents and traffic-related violence

Multiple road incidents and acts of violence involving vehicles have been reported across several regions.

In Paris, a cyclist was stabbed in the neck following a dispute with a motorist in the 9th arrondissement. Paris Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire condemned the attack as “unbearable violence.” The suspect was apprehended by police, and an investigation into attempted murder is underway.

In Marseille, a 23-year-old driver was assaulted by the family of a 4-year-old boy after accidentally hitting him while he ran across the road. The child remains in critical condition, and authorities have opened investigations into both the accident and the subsequent assault.

Other notable accidents include a fatal ambulance crash on the North Highway in Côte d’Ivoire, resulting in two deaths and five serious injuries. In Canada, a collision between two ATVs in Baie-Comeau left four people injured. Additional single-vehicle accidents and collisions involving motorcycles and scooters were reported in France, including incidents in Loire-Atlantique, the Orne department, and near Menton.
