Gabon launches Village of Public Services in Libreville

On 24 June 2026 Gabon's Ministry of Public Service opened the "Village du service public" on the ministry’s esplanade in Libreville. The three‑day event gathered more than thirty exhibition stands representing ministries, public agencies, state‑run institutions and startups, allowing citizens to obtain information, complete simple administrative procedures and speak directly with officials.

Government representatives, including Minister of Public Service Laurence Ndong, toured the displays and highlighted the initiative’s aim to improve transparency, accessibility and trust between the administration and the public. Visitors were encouraged to “go in contact with the different administrations” to receive accurate information, underscoring the administration’s effort to make public services more visible and citizen‑focused.
