Côte d’Ivoire partners with Emirates to boost tourism and air connectivity
Côte d’Ivoire is advancing its national tourism strategy, “Sublime Côte d'Ivoire,” through new international partnerships and ambitious growth targets. The government aims to attract five million international visitors annually by 2030, a move expected to drive approximately 1,000 billion FCFA in sectoral investments.
To support this goal, Emirates Airlines has signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ivorian Ministry of Tourism and Leisure and the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs. This agreement, signed during the Arabian Travel Market 2026, is designed to boost international passenger traffic between the United Arab Emirates and Côte d’Ivoire while enhancing overall air connectivity.
Tourism Minister Siandou Fofana recently presented these objectives at the IFTM Top Resa trade fair in Paris, emphasizing the country's goal to become one of the five most visited destinations in Africa by 2030.
