Côte d'Ivoire targets 700 digital public services by 2029

The government of Côte d'Ivoire has announced an ambitious digital transformation plan to provide 700 digital public services by 2029. The initiative aims to simplify procedures for citizens and businesses, moving toward a ‘zero paper’ administration by 2030.

During a national workshop in Abidjan, officials emphasized that the strategy focuses on interoperability and the pooling of digital infrastructures. Currently, many public platforms operate independently, which limits data exchange and causes duplication of functions. The new roadmap intends to allow different administrations to share information securely, reducing the need for users to submit the same documents multiple times.

As an initial step, the government plans to identify approximately 100 priority services for transformation or development using a national interoperability platform. Selection will be based on impact, feasibility, and cross-sectoral utility.
