Côte d'Ivoire trains 5,000 youth in land tenure security
In Côte d'Ivoire, 5,000 young people have completed a year-long training program focused on land tenure security professions. The initiative, led by the Agence Emploi Jeunes (AEJ) in partnership with the Agence Foncière Rurale (AFOR), represents an investment of 1.9 billion FCFA.
The training, which concluded with a ceremony in Ferkessédougou, equipped participants with skills in geomatics, building and public works (BTP), transport, entrepreneurship, and land security. Of the total graduates, 1,900 were from the Tchologo region. Additionally, the program included the issuance of 500 driver's licenses and training for 100 individuals in heavy machinery operation.
Minister of Youth Promotion, Mamadou Touré, noted that this first phase is part of a larger program intended to eventually reach 10,000 beneficiaries.
