Côte d'Ivoire unveils Master in Training Engineering program

The National Pedagogical Institute for Technical and Vocational Education (IPNETP) announced a new Master’s degree in training engineering at a ceremony in Abidjan on 4 August 2026. Developed with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the programme comprises 3,000 hours of study across 33 modules, offering modular certifications and a focus on artificial‑intelligence skills. It is open to students holding a baccalaureate or a licence (bac+3) and aims to professionalise the design, management and evaluation of training programmes.

The launch was attended by ministers N’Guessan Koffi and Jean Kacou Diagou, who signed a three‑year educational partnership, and by IPNETP director Prof. Edmée Mansilla, who called for “training engineers” to meet future competency needs. GIZ project lead Raphaël Bavoux highlighted the initiative’s contribution to strengthening Côte d’Ivoire’s vocational‑training system.
