Côte-d’Or implements regional development and youth initiatives
The Côte-d’Or department in France is advancing several regional projects focused on infrastructure and civic engagement. The department has completed an €8 million investment to modernize the Route des Grands Crus, France’s first wine tourism route. The project includes the installation of a new light brown-ochre asphalt designed to harmonize with the UNESCO-listed Burgundy vineyard landscapes, alongside new signage and landscaping.
Additionally, the Côte-d’Or Departmental Council marked the conclusion of the 2024-2026 mandate for its 54 youth departmental counselors. During a closing session in Dijon, officials reviewed the results of a large-scale consultation involving 13,000 middle school students. This engagement led to 21 concrete proposals that were adopted and implemented by the Departmental Assembly to support local youth.
