CTG O Fogão Gaúcho announces Semana Farroupilha celebrations in Taquara
CTG O Fogão Gaúcho in Taquara has announced a nine-day special program to celebrate Semana Farroupilha from September 12 to 20. The event aims to promote Rio Grande do Sul's history, customs, and identity through music, gastronomy, and artistic performances.
Activities begin on Saturday, September 12, with the lighting of the Chama Crioula and a preview of the CTG's Adult Artistic Invernada, followed by a dinner and dance featuring Amaranto e Conjunto. On Sunday, September 13, the schedule includes a lunch and a four-hour dance led by Os Bertussi.
From September 14 to 18, the entity will host free open rehearsals and artistic presentations starting at 8:00 PM, with optional country-style dinners available. The celebrations continue on Saturday, September 19, with a dance by Garotos do Fandango, and conclude on Sunday, September 20, with the Desfile Farroupilha parade.
Patrão Auro Paulo Sander stated that the goal is to provide a space for community interaction and the appreciation of Gaúcho culture.
