CHP completes provincial appointments and announces September congress schedule

The Republican People's Party (CHP) has completed its provincial leadership restructuring following recent legal decisions. During a Central Management Board (MYK) meeting led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the party announced new appointments for five provinces: Ersan Türkoğlu in Bolu, Rıdvan Eryılmaz in Gümüşhane, Derya Altınay in Hatay, Songül Bulut in Sakarya, and Ender Ergün in Tokat. Additionally, the MYK granted authorization to three other provinces to form their administrations.

Party Spokesperson Müslim Sarı stated that the congress schedule is expected to be announced in early September, following the completion of organizational adjustments by the end of August. The party also addressed the National Solidarity and Social Integration Law, emphasizing a constructive stance on issues related to national unity and counter-terrorism, noting that they view such matters as state concerns rather than partisan bargaining chips.

In local developments, Esin Doğan Metin has been appointed as the MYK Assistant Responsible for Education Policies. Meanwhile, in Malatya, the party is facing internal tension following the dismissal of the Provincial Women's Branch President, Canan Erdoğan, only one week after her appointment.
