CTT App records 23.4 million euros in digital public debt investments in August

Portuguese savers reached a record level of digital investment through the CTT mobile application in August. A total of 23.4 million euros was applied to Savings Certificates (Certificados de Aforro) and Treasury Certificates (Certificados do Tesouro), marking a 3% increase compared to July.

On average, approximately 1.1 million euros were invested per day through the app during the month. This surge was partly driven by the introduction of a new series of Treasury Certificates. Since the launch of the ‘Aforro Digital’ feature in July 2024, customers have invested nearly 325 million euros in public debt via the platform.

The app allows users to subscribe to certificates, make reinforcements, consult movements, and simulate potential returns. Savings Certificates require a minimum initial investment of 100 euros, while Treasury Certificates, intended for longer-term goals, require a minimum of 1,000 euros.
