CTT Group reports 41.6% profit decline despite revenue rise

The Lisbon Stock Exchange opened the session higher, up 0.34% to 9,177.18 points, led by Teixeira Duarte, whose shares rose 3.44% to €0.49. CTT also posted a gain of 2.83% to €6.17, while other Portuguese blue‑chip stocks such as Ibersol, EDP Renováveis and Jerónimo Martins advanced.

CTT – the national postal and logistics group – announced that its attributable net profit fell 41.6% in the first half of 2026, to €12.9 million, even as revenues increased 12.9% to €674.3 million. The decline was driven by volatility in international customs clearance, regulatory changes and the re‑organisation of low‑value e‑commerce flows after the integration of DHL Parcel Portugal and the Cacesa acquisition. The company aims to normalise e‑commerce profitability, capture synergies from DHL Parcel Portugal and maintain capital discipline for the remainder of the year.
