CTTC Bhubaneswar trains over 8,000 engineering students

The Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) in Bhubaneswar, operating under the Ministry of MSME, has completed its 2026 Summer Internship Programme. The four-week initiative, held during May and June, provided hands-on industrial training to 8,083 engineering students from 22 Indian states and union territories, as well as 26 international students from Sudan and Yemen.

The programme covered diverse disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, and Computer Science. It also emphasized emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things, and Additive Manufacturing. Mechanical engineering recorded the highest participation with 3,193 students, followed by Electronics with 2,209 and IT & Software with 1,948.

Participants included students from various prestigious institutions, such as IITs and NITs. Beyond its training mandate, CTTC has historically supported India’s space and defense sectors by supplying precision components for ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 missions, as well as the Light Combat Aircraft programme.
