Cuauhtémoc administration resurfaces streets in Doctores neighborhood
The Cuauhtémoc borough administration in Mexico City has completed the resurfacing of over 3,600 square meters of Dr. Arce Street in the Doctores neighborhood. The project, part of the ‘Renace Cuauhtémoc’ program, covered the stretch between Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas and Dr. José María Vértiz.
In addition to the asphalt replacement, the works included road marking, lighting maintenance, and tree pruning. Mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega stated that the administration intends to continue street recovery efforts across the 33 neighborhoods within the borough.
During the delivery of the works, the Mayor highlighted the need for increased resources to maintain secondary roads. She expressed support for an initiative that would allow boroughs to collect property taxes specifically for the upkeep of these secondary routes to accelerate infrastructure repairs.
