Cuauhtémoc and Nezahualcóyotl officials face local scrutiny and praise
In Mexico City, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc, has implemented several community programs including ‘Brilla Cuauhtémoc’ for lighting and ‘Alcaldía en tus manos’ to address local needs. PAN deputy Frida Guillen praised the delivery of recovered luminaries in the San Rafael neighborhood. According to the Unified Citizen Service System (SUAC), the Cuauhtémoc borough reports a 93.7 percent effectiveness rate, with 58,003 cases resolved.
In a separate incident in Nezahualcóyotl, the team of Morena deputy Carmen de la Rosa distributed expired antihistamine medication (Epinastina) to residents. The medicine, which had an expiration date of September 2026, was distributed during a mobile health event. Residents noted that the distribution included promotional materials regarding the deputy’s legislative proposals and upcoming 2027 municipal presidential campaign. De la Rosa has previously faced sanctions from the Electoral Tribunal of the State of Mexico for the untimely distribution of political propaganda.
