Cuautla administration manages municipalization and leadership changes

Salvador Molina Martínez, the municipal president of Cuautla, is advancing the process for the municipalization of the indigenous community of Tetelcingo. In a recent meeting with the Tetelcingo Pro-Municipality Committee, officials discussed the territorial delimitation required to establish clear boundaries between the two jurisdictions. Following the definition of these borders, the administration intends to address the economic implications and financial agreements necessary for the separation.

Simultaneously, the Cuautla municipal government is experiencing significant administrative instability. Since Molina Martínez assumed office on June 30, there have been frequent changes in key positions. The Municipal Secretariat has seen nine changes during the 2025-2027 administration, with Adrián Ariza Cuéllar recently appointed to the role. Other adjustments have been made in the Cadastre department and the Water and Sanitation Operator System (SOAPSC). Despite previous assurances that no further personnel changes were planned, the administration continues to restructure strategic areas while attempting to address inherited financial issues and audit municipal accounts.
