Cuautla DIF launches BoliDIF bakery to supply low‑cost bolillos to over 3,000 families
The municipal System for Integral Family Development (DIF) of Cuautla, Morelos, inaugurated a bakery called BoliDIF on 29 July. The facility will produce 2,500 bolillos each day, sold to residents for one peso per piece. The program is subsidised by the municipal government and aims to distribute roughly 240,000 bolillos by the end of the year, reaching more than 15,000 people in over 3,000 families across all colonies of the municipality.
DIF president Graciela Molina Martínez highlighted the equipment installed – mixers, refrigeration units, scales, ovens and workstations – and a staff of eight to run the operation. Mayor Salvador Molina Martínez endorsed the initiative as part of broader social‑action efforts to improve household economics in Cuautla.
