Cuba conducts territorial defense exercises in Granma

Authorities in Cuba conducted territorial defense exercises in the Monjará Defense Zone, located in the Guisa municipality of Granma province. The activities included practical drills focused on providing information and protection to the population in the event of limited enemy airstrikes.

High-ranking officials, including Salvador Valdés, Vice President of the National Defense Council, and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, participated in the review of defense preparations. The leadership emphasized the need for systematic discipline and the completion of personnel rosters for Production and Defense Brigades and internal order groups.

Beyond military readiness, the defense council is coordinating efforts to address civilian priorities. These include the recovery of the National Electric System, energy transition, water supply, solid waste collection, and food production through local plots and community markets.
