Cuba faces economic shifts and diplomatic pressure

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has expressed concern regarding the situation in Cuba, stating that it is a “world shame” that a country is prevented from deciding its own destiny due to an imposed blockade.

In Cuba, the State Council is analyzing the implementation of various economic and social transformations. Additionally, the Chinese travel agency Alifante Tur Cuba has restructured its commercial proposal to facilitate direct exchange between the Cuban business sector and suppliers.

In Uruguay, officials have warned that the withdrawal of a Cuban medical brigade could lead to a regression in ophthalmological care services at the José Martí Eye Hospital.
