Cuba informal currency market sees stable dollar and euro amid MLC declines
The informal currency market in Cuba has shown varying stability across major foreign currencies. The US dollar has remained relatively steady, trading at approximately 663 to 665 Cuban pesos (CUP) in recent sessions, maintaining a consistent level despite broader economic challenges.
The euro has also seen periods of stability, recently trading around 750 to 760 CUP. While the euro maintains a higher valuation than the dollar, it has experienced fluctuations over the past month.
Significant volatility has been observed in the MLC, which has seen notable declines in value against the Cuban peso. Other currencies, including the Canadian dollar, the Mexican peso, and Zelle transfers, have also reported recent decreases in their exchange rates within the informal market.
