Cuba official praises electrical workers following power outages
Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, has praised the efforts of the National Electric System (SEN) workers following recent power disconnections.
Morales Ojeda highlighted the dedication of specialists, technicians, and operators who work continuously to restore electricity to homes, hospitals, and vital centers. He noted that these workers often sacrifice rest, family time, and personal safety to manage emergencies affecting millions of people.
The official stated that these efforts are particularly challenging due to an economic blockade that limits access to spare parts, technology, and fuel. He described the work of the SEN staff as an act of resistance against forced obsolescence and scarcity caused by external restrictions.
