Cuba receives new flight of deportees from the United States

A new flight of Cuban deportees from the United States arrived at José Martí International Airport in Havana on September 24. The flight, an Airbus A319 operated by GlobalX (GXA6196), departed from Alexandria International Airport in Louisiana.

Unlike previous operations, Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior did not issue an official statement regarding the flight or the specific number of individuals returned to the island. However, social media testimonies from families confirmed the arrival of deportees. One family reported that their 22-year-old son, who had been in immigration custody for ten months despite having a valid work permit and driver's license, has returned to Cuba.
