Cuba strengthens multilateral ties with Lebanon and Mexico

Cuba and Lebanon have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening multilateral ties and bilateral cooperation. During a meeting in Beirut between Cuban Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz and Lebanese Director General for Multilateral Affairs Salim Baddoura, both nations expressed a shared interest in coordinating within international forums, including the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement. The discussions focused on mutual respect, peace, disarmament, and the defense of multilateralism.

Separately, Cuban diplomatic representatives expressed gratitude for the ongoing solidarity from Mexico in the face of the United States' economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba. The Cuban mission highlighted the support provided by the Mexican government and its people, noting the historical ties between the two nations and the humanitarian work performed by Cuban medical brigades in Mexico.
